God wants us to be in relationship with Him. He calls us and invites, but does not force us to be His disciples. He chooses us for holiness, but will not force us to be holy, we must choose to live a life of holiness cooperating with His grace. Once we are built up in loving relationship with Christ, He sends us to draw others to be in relationship with Him too. God called me to be a priest, but I was a Nuclear Engineer first. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Church and He is the Good Shepherd. Our place in the Church depends on our relationship with the Cornerstone.
